Your Teacher
Hi, I'm Candice.
Like many people, my journey with yoga started as a physical practice, but it very quickly became something more. A place to slow down, to breathe, and to feel more like myself.
I still remember leaving a yoga class one morning and feeling lighter - as though everything around me had softened, the sun was shining a little brighter, and the day ahead felt more possible. That feeling stayed with me, and it’s what I now hope to offer others.
I started Bendy Bodies in South Africa, first working with children and later expanding into adult classes. Over time, my teaching has grown into something gentle, steady and deeply supportive - focused on helping people feel safe and at ease in their own bodies.
After moving to the UK, I stepped away for a while and returned to the corporate world. Then, following two strokes, everything slowed down. It gave me the space to reflect, and gently brought me back to what matters most.
Now, I teach in a way that is calm, kind and grounded - creating small, supportive spaces where people can move, breathe, and reconnect, without pressure or expectation.
“My hope is for every person, adult or child, to leave my classes feeling lighter, as though the sun is shining brighter.”

Testimonials
Kind Words from the Mat
Gentle reflections from students who have shared the space with me.
My daughter and I are so glad we found this lovely class. Candice is an excellent teacher with such a naturally calm demeanour, which really helps you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. The setting is lovely. Really convenient, and the small class sizes makes it feel more personal, allowing Candice to give individual guidance and ensure we're getting the most from each posture. Her gentle energy really sets the tone for the whole class, making it easy to switch off, relax, and fully focus on what your body needs. I suffer with back problems, and I've found the classes to be gentle yet really effective, with plenty of stretching that has genuinely helped.
I was a little nervous as I’d never tried yoga before, but Candice immediately put me at ease - my stress just melted away. She clearly guides you on how far to go in each pose, especially if you have any injuries. Candice delivers an excellent class that’s both fulfilling and challenging. She supports everyone through the wobbles, offers helpful options, and gently encourages you to push yourself a little further.
Candice is an absolutely amazing instructor - the atmosphere she sets is perfect for her sessions. I always leave with a much clearer mind and a much better feeling about myself!!
It's always a pleasure when Teacher Cands comes to Little Steps for her weekly yoga class. The children are excited and enthusiastic to take part in her adventures and are notably relaxed and refreshed after the classes. Cands conducts a professional class that is of great value to our little ones. Truly a must do!
Dear Candice, you are an amazing teacher with such patience for the little ones. My daughter gets so excited for your class each week. Such a great way to keep kids flexible and to calm any anxiety. What a wonderful, fun class! Thank you! You are fantastic!
My daughter loves her yoga and it is giving her so much confidence! Her paediatrician has said that it is very good for strengthening her muscles and toning her body, so she should keep going with it.
